The white sand beaches fall off into waters abundant with fish. Fishing in Panama is seasonal yet there is no bad season, just different types of fish. In our summer months (December-May) the seas are flooded with pargo (red snapper), mero (grouper) and amberjack. The ocean temperature drops during these months and the bottom dwelling fish will move to the surface and hit surface lures. The hottest part of the pargo season is February through March. There are often swarms of feeding fish behind the island of Pacheca. The sea literally turns orange from the fish in a feeding frenzy on top of the water. There is also great bottom fishing throughout the islands at this time of year. The outer islands harbor large jack, tuna, wahoo and sailfish. Return to Pier around 4:00 P.M
